Handbells
Fall and Spring Concerts are presented during Wednesday night programs. The choir rings routinely for worship services and participates annually in area Handbell Festivals. There are two groups:
The Sanctuary Bells rehearse in the handbell room from 7:00-8:00 on Mondays evenings.
The Handbell Quartet rehearses in the handbell room from 6:15-7:00 on Monday evenings
J.O.Y. Choir (Just Older Youth!)
Older adults enjoy singing both secular and non-secular music. Members share fellowship and camaraderie around the lunch table following rehearsals. As an outreach ministry, the choir sings monthly at area nursing homes and often performs musical programs for other churches throughout the state. Rehearsals are held at 11:00 Tuesday mornings in the Fellowship Hall.
Ladies' Ensemble
This group of women sing both secular and non-secular repertoire. Often accompanied by wind or string instruments, they provide music for church programs and for worship services. Rehearsals are held on Sundays from 5:00-5:45 in the Choir Room.
Worship Band/Skit Team
(Grades 6-12)
The worship band plays both traditional hymns and new worship songs, and each Sunday evening leads worship for the youth-led Refuge 511 service. An annual musical dinner theatre is presented by the Skit Team. Actors, singers and instrumentalists are encouraged to participate. Band and Skit rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 in the Youth Center.
Childrens' Choirs
Cherub (K4-K5), Celebration (Grades 1-2), and Covenant Choir (Grades 3-5)
The children’s choirs and handbells participate regularly in worship, present annual Christmas and spring musical productions, and participate in an annual children-led worship service. Singing instruction and musical concepts are emphasized, and Orff and rhythm instruments are taught during rehearsals. WASP (Wednesday After School Programming) meets in the Back Porch children's area from 4:00-5:30.

Maundy Thursday Service: The Living Last Supper
The Living Last Supper:
A Dramatical Musical Experience for Holy Week
Maundy Thursday Service
April 1 at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary
On Maundy Thursday, April 1 at 7:00 pm, the Sanctuary Choir and CenterStage for Christ Drama Ministries will present The Living Last Supper.
One of Christianity's most significant events was brilliantly portrayed by Leonardo da Vinci centuries ago in his painting The Last Supper. This Renaissance masterpiece is brought to life through character monologues, expressive melodies, and dramatic enhancements for an unforgettable Communion celebration. One by one the disciples speak, expressing their innermost thoughts, including their astonishment that one of them would betray Him.
The choir loft will be transformed into the Upper Room, representative of Leonardo da Vinci's Renaissance masterpiece painting "The Last Supper." The Sanctuary Choir, accompanied by a chamber orchestra, will sing between the monologues. These anthems are interspersed throughout the program to underscore the Biblical truths presented by the disciples.
Have you noticed a few new beards growing among some men of the congregation? Chances are these men may be disciples in the upcoming Maundy Thursday dramatization, The Living Last Supper. Directed by Diane Kinsley, the cast of disciples includes: Mark Blankenship, Kim Cassell, Jimmy Faircloth, Mike Jackson, Michael Kinsley, Beau Lunceford, Wayne Morris, Michael O'Neill, Brant Pickard, Corky Powell, Kevin Tolbert, Todd Walton, and John Hulbert as Jesus.
The Sanctuary Choir, accompanied by an instrumental ensemble, will sing between the monologues. The choir loft will be transformed into the Upper Room, representative of Leonardo da Vinci's Renaissance masterpiece painting "The Last Supper."
At the conclusion of the service communion will be served to the congregation by the disciples.
Please plan now to attend this service. It is not one you will want to miss.
Blessings,
Jane
