On Maundy Thursday, April 1 at 7:00 pm, the Sanctuary Choir and CenterStage for Christ Drama Ministries presented The Living Last Supper.

One of Christianity's most significant events was brilliantly portrayed by Leonardo da Vinci centuries ago in his painting The Last Supper. This Renaissance masterpiece is brought to life through character monologues, expressive melodies, and dramatic enhancements for an unforgettable Communion celebration. One by one the disciples speak, expressing their innermost thoughts, including their astonishment that one of them would betray Him.

Designed by Steve Gray, the choir loft was transformed into the Upper Room, representative of Leonardo da Vinci's Renaissance masterpiece painting The Last Supper. Assisting with the production are Dicky Gilbert, Diane Scruggs and Caron Williams.

Have you noticed a few new beards growing among some men of the congregation? Chances are these men may be disciples in the Maundy Thursday dramatization, The Living Last Supper.

Directed by Diane Kinsley, the cast of disciples includes:

  • Mark Blankenship
  • Kim Cassell
  • Jimmy Faircloth
  • Mike Jackson
  • Michael Kinsley
  • Beau Lunceford
  • Wayne Morris
  • Michael O'Neill
  • Brant Pickard
  • Corky Powell
  • Kevin Tolbert
  • Todd Walton
  • John Hulbert as Jesus.

The Sanctuary Choir, accompanied by an instrumental ensemble, will sing between the monologues. Maestro Adrain Gnam and members of the Ocmulgee Symphony Orchestra will accompanied the choir and provided instrumental music for the service.

At the conclusion of the service communion will be served to the congregation by the disciples.
