About Perry UMC: Our Stained Glass Windows

These ten inspirational windows illustrating the life of Christ were designed by the artists at Statesville Stained Glass, Inc. of Statesville, North Carolina, and were installed December 5th, 1982. Each window was donated by church members; see the individual window pages for details or read about it in this PDF Stained Glass Project Summary from 1982, complete with illustrations of the original designs. As you are sitting in the church facing forward, the windows start with the birth of Christ on the right side wall nearest the altar, continuing towards the rear and around to the left side wall, ending nearest the altar on the left side with the resurrectionion of Christ. Sadly, two of the windows are difficult to see due to the choir loft. Click on a window for a larger view.
